Copywriter – Senior

Duration Contract (1-year initially)
Job Overview The Senior Copywriter is responsible for creating compelling, data-driven content that engages readers, enhances user experiences, drives conversions, and effectively communicates competitive advantages to web and app business and consumer audiences. This role involves close collaboration with marketing and product teams, as well as copywriters, editors, designers, producers, and studio leads.
Responsibilities
Conduct research on target audiences, industry trends, and competitors to identify pain points and opportunities for differentiation.
Develop innovative and engaging content strategies that bring fresh ideas to the table.
Apply copywriting best practices while understanding audience behaviors and needs.
Create copy for landing pages, banners, ads, and curate learn-page articles using SEO principles to enhance website visibility and ranking.
Develop a deep understanding of brand principles and guidelines to ensure consistent voice and messaging across projects.
Collaborate with brand and legal teams to implement feedback as required.
Work closely with fellow copywriters and editors to elevate the quality of content.
Effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, communications, advertising, or a related field.
Five years of experience in copywriting for digital marketing, with a preference for web content.
A portfolio showcasing digital marketing copy, including customer journeys, learn articles, landing pages, hero banners, ads, and more.
Proven ability to craft persuasive copy that drives action, connects with consumers authentically, and simplifies technical jargon for broader understanding.
Expertise in developing copy that complements design for a cohesive message.
Experience writing for brand-specific campaigns targeting business and/or consumer audiences.
Strong knowledge of digital marketing fundamentals and industry standards.
Excellent communication skills with a solutions-oriented mindset and strong diplomacy abilities.
Critical thinking skills with attention to detail, ensuring quick and accurate execution of work.
Affinity for process improvement and proactive anticipation of needs, problems, and opportunities.
Proficiency in Chicago Manual of Style.
Experience with Workfront or similar project management systems is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: $50 – $65 The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
