Position Summary We are looking for a stellar manager with a proven track record owning the Human Resources Office. This leadership role will work from our headquarters in Seattle, overseeing the HR needs of our other locations remotely, with expected sporadic travel.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting and Hiring Management

Collaborate with hiring managers to define position requirements, design job descriptions, and manage job postings.

Recommend compensation packages.

Interview and manage the hiring process of new employees.

Onboard employees to benefits, policies, and culture of B&K.

Human Capital Management

Run payroll and set up employee benefits.

Enforce HR policies with leadership guidance.

Maintain employee handbook and records.

Assist with data management as needed.

Collaborate with other department heads to develop performance reviews and staffing plans.

Manage PTO, vacation, and time‑off per policies.

Handle state tax payments, compliance requirements, unemployment, and related payroll matters.

Lead, mentor, train, and develop the HR office, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Oversee departmental performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address performance issues.

Promote a positive and collaborative work environment.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, health and safety standards (OSHA), and company policies.

Implement and maintain a comprehensive safety program.

Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to ensure a safe working environment.

Ensure all team members are properly trained on equipment safety, storage protocols, and PPE.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Utilize data and KPIs to analyze performance, identify trends.

Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging HR technologies.

Skills

High degree of consistency required for interviews, recruiting and managing employee issues.

Ability to connect with and understand employees and employee needs while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

Five years of management experience, expertise in all areas of HR.

Bachelor’s degree in business management or HR.

Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, technical and otherwise.

SHRM‑CP, PHR certifications highly desired.
