The Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor is looking for their next Event Manager to join their team.
The hotel is neatly situated near Baltimore’s scenic Inner Harbor, and adjacent to Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Directly linked to over a million additional square feet of space by covered pedestrian sky bridge to the Baltimore Convention Center. This property features 757 guestrooms and over 100,000 square feet of meeting space with its largest room being 26,712 square feet.
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of one year experience in event management at a hotel of similar or larger size, with a strong understanding of hotel catering, client event planning, and coordinating logistics through the Banquet Event Order (BEO) process. They should be comfortable managing multiple groups and events simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
Pay Range:
$60,000-$65,000 annually
Shift Pattern:
Typical office hours of 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM with required flexibility to adjust schedules for early mornings or late evenings on all days based on assigned groups.

What will I be doing? As Event Manager you are responsible for event documentation and coordination with Sales, hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent, high‑level service throughout the pre‑event, event, and post‑event phases of all hotel events. You will be required to ensure a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales, recognize opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events, and serve as the event planner primary contact following turnover on property, responsible for his/her experience.
Essential functions
To organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.
Timely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.
Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes.
Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.
Ensure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.
Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
Other duties as necessary based on business needs.
