HR Business Partner (Generalist - First HR Hire)
Location:
Dallas, TX (4 days in office; WFH Fridays)

The Opportunity Join a high-performing, entrepreneurial investment manager as the first dedicated HR leader. The foundations are in place; you’ll own day‑to‑day HR and level up people operations—especially onboarding, biannual reviews, and real‑time feedback loops—while partnering closely with the CCO and senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
Own Onboarding/Offboarding:
I-9s, benefits enrollment, (ADP), day‑one readiness; checklists and comms.
Launch Biannual Reviews:
Standardize templates, timelines, manager enablement; track completions and outcomes.
Stand Up Feedback Loops:
After each Investment Committee, facilitate quick feedback touchpoints for junior talent; capture notes in HR files.
Run Employee Surveys:
Operate pulse surveys; analyze data; synthesize themes; propose actions; close feedback loops.
Policies & Handbook:
Maintain the handbook; coordinate light legal review; keep TX/US updates current.
Benefits (ADP):
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage benefits administration and help optimize the effective use of ADP tools.
Talent & Market Intel:
Maintain a lightweight view of market comp trends for key roles; support leaders with directional insights.
People Partnering:
Be a trusted, confidential resource; join sensitive conversations case‑by‑case with leadership.
Recruitment:
Work directly with department heads and hiring managers to help oversee the recruitment process.
You Bring
5–8 years of HR experience with strong generalist breadth (HRIS/ATS, onboarding, employee relations, reviews/PM, benefits liaison, compliance awareness).
Experience in financial services (PE/VC/credit/hedge) or adjacent professional services/banking; small‑company exposure (sub‑50–100) is a plus.
Hands‑on builder who can design simple processes, drive adoption, and communicate clearly with executives and investment professionals.
Tools & Partners
ADP (HR/benefits; opportunity to expand usage), new IT Professional for hardware/access, collaboration with Accounting/Finance and Deal Team leads.
