Job Description Primary responsibility: This is a combined full‑time position at the Spring Valley and Glenwood campuses. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in both areas, and hours may fluctuate depending on specific needs to serve students.

Under the direction of campus Student Affairs leadership, the College Navigator responsibilities include working directly with targeted college students—particularly recent high‑school graduates—to provide support and maximize student success, retention and completion.

Under the direction of campus Student Affairs leadership, the Enrollment Services Specialist responsibilities include assisting with student recruitment, enrollment processes, registration, financial aid guidance, and record keeping. The position requires working cooperatively with faculty and administration at the assigned campus.

Prerequisites (Qualifications Standards)

Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position. Example combinations: - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution + 1 year related work experience. - Associate’s degree + 2 years related work experience. - High School Diploma/GED + 3 years related work experience or equivalent education and experience.

Special skills or abilities: academic and collegiate mentoring; data collection and analysis of student performance; strong written, verbal, analytical and organizational skills; positive engagement with students in an academic setting; skill in prioritizing duties and responsibilities.

Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software. Familiarity with Access, Publisher, Photoshop, and other design software helpful. Operate office equipment; proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and electronic mail; meet deadlines; strong interpersonal skills.

Commitment to working effectively with students, employees, and community members of all backgrounds. Core principles: welcoming, innovative, focused on student success.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred.

Compensation & Benefits Hiring range: $47,798.40 – $53,102.40 annually ($22.98 – $25.53 hourly). Salary will be set commensurate with qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Position anticipated to close on November 14, 2025, or until filled.

Minimum Qualifications

College Navigator (50%):

Direct support of targeted CMC students.

Establish positive and trusting relationships with target students.

Advise and assist in academic planning.

Coordinate and/or provide services to support success, persistence and completion.

Facilitate student success by creating peer networks.

Foster student accountability, self‑advocacy, self‑awareness, and effective use of resources.

Communicate with campus student services leadership about progress and needs.

Solicit student feedback to guide continuous improvement.

Meet local senior high school students and connect prospective students to CMC admission processes.

Collaborate with community and campus partners to strengthen student support networks and pipelines.

Other duties as assigned.

Enrollment Services Specialist (50%):

Processing student admissions applications.

Organize applicant communications.

Assist students with tuition classification questions.

Assist with front‑line Financial Aid Counseling, including FAFSA/CASFA assistance, exploring financing options, and providing self‑service guidance.

Support and mentor other Enrollment Services staff and the Student Affairs team.

Assist with admissions planning, organization, and coordination of registration activities such as campus tours, visit days, new student registration events, new student orientation, concurrent enrollment students, and the College Bridge Program.

Process and maintain student records; conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Perform general administrative tasks and procedures, including scheduling and preparing reports.

Other duties as assigned.

Supervision Received & Responsibility This position receives supervision from a designated campus Student Affairs professional. It will serve as lead to others but will not directly supervise others.

Special Conditions of Employment Successful completion of a background check, including motor vehicle records, is required. Incumbents must adhere to all safety and compliance policies of Colorado Mountain College while performing duties. Travel within the college district, altered work schedule, or occasional evening/weekend hours may be required.

Working Conditions Position requires sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling, pushing/pulling and frequent reaching & use of fingers; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Requires constant written and oral communication, reasoning, analysis, and occasional calculations. Work is performed primarily using a computer, standard office equipment, and occasional driving.
