Harmer is actively interviewing for a Hybrid Interim Staff Accountant for our client located in SE Houston. Candidate must have 4+ years experience and come from a small‑mid sized manufacturing/construction environment. Contract to Hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

Assist with the year-end financial statement audit process and work with external auditors to ensure all deadlines are met.

Perform month-end and annual close functions.

Prepare intercompany reconciliations with multiple currencies.

Analyze financial information to prepare entries, reconcile accounts and provide management reports.

Perform full cycle accounting functions assigned such as cash, fixed assets, accounts payable, and intercompany transactions.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance

4+ years of accounting experience

Heavy reconciliation experience

General Ledger Accounting

Experience with month-end close duties

Financial analysis skills

Small company experience in a high transaction volume environment

Hands‑on approach with attention to detail

SAGE ERP experience (highly preferred)
