We are seeking an Accountant for a building company. This is a mostly onsite contract role in Arlington, TX.
Position Summary The Accountant ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
Process monthly rebates
Gather data from reports to calculate commission totals to be paid out
Manage Concur expense reports
Maintain and update customer master data
Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies
Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing trial balances, and reconciling entries
Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and accounting standards
Secure financial information through regular database backups
Protect organizational data by maintaining strict confidentiality
Professional Experience & Qualifications
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Strong analytical and accounting skills
Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with major accounting software packages for general ledger and statutory accounting (SAP preferred)
Able to manage multiple projects in a deadline‑driven environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of tasks with minimal guidance
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university
2–4 years of progressive accounting experience
