Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the accounting and financial operations of multiple entities. Reporting to the Controller, this individual will play a key role in ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with internal controls, and supporting various aspects of the accounting cycle. This role offers a great opportunity to grow within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Roles / Responsibilities

Maintain general ledger accounts ensuring accurate cost and account coding

Reconcile intercompany accounts and investments in subsidiaries

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Post deposits and other cash transactions accurately and timely

Track and report job costs across multiple projects, including purchase orders and change orders

Assist in monitoring and updating project budgets and forecasts

Prepare month‑end journal entries including payroll, interest, expense, and revenue accruals

Prepare and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts

Maintain fixed asset schedules and process monthly depreciation entries

Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reports

Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to internal controls and company policies

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

3 – 5 years of relevant accounting experience

Strong proficiency in accounting and financial principles

Commercial Real Estate experience preferred

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong general computer skills

Working Conditions

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.

Moves throughout the building to access files.

Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.

Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.

Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.

Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
