Role Description This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Dedicated Wedding Planner located in Utica, IL. The Dedicated Wedding Planner will manage the planning and execution of weddings, including coordinating with vendors, creating detailed itineraries, and ensuring the event runs smoothly. The role involves budget management, providing exceptional customer service to clients, and handling logistics and event planning tasks. The planner will also consult with couples to understand their vision and requirements, offering creative solutions for their special day.
Qualifications
Skills in Planning and Event Planning
Experience in Wedding Planning
Skills in Budgeting and financial management
Strong Customer Service skills
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
Capable of working flexible hours, including weekends
Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field is a plus
We get a large amount of inbound leads on a weekly and daily basis, we need someone who can respond to these and showcase Grand Bear as a wedding destination. We are open to hybrid/remote options though will need someone on site for visits and showings non‑negotiable. Grand Bear Resort is located in Utica, IL, right next to Starved Rock. On average we get about 200–300 wedding requests a year and can't keep up with them. Base + Commission, open to offers for base a percentage of every wedding booked is yours.
