Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master to join Brooksource's Fortune 15 client to lead and support up to five agile squads working across multiple time zones in the development of a custom-built Java application. This role is part of a large, complex program and requires strong facilitation, coordination, and servant leadership skills to ensure agile best practices are followed and delivery goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) across distributed teams.

Act as a servant leader and coach to the squads, promoting Agile principles and continuous improvement.

Remove impediments and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and transparency.

Coordinate across squads to manage dependencies, align sprint goals, and ensure consistent delivery.

Partner with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and Program Managers to ensure backlog health and sprint readiness.

Track and report team metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.) to stakeholders and leadership.

Design, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility into team performance, sprint progress, and program-level KPIs

Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sprint outcomes, impediments, and delivery risks across squads.

Support cross-functional communication and alignment across time zones and cultures.

Champion Agile maturity and drive adoption of best practices across the program.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in large-scale Agile environments

Proven experience managing multiple squads simultaneously, preferably in a global delivery model.

Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and Agile metrics.

Experience working with custom Java applications and familiarity with software development lifecycle.

Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence or equivalent.

Hands‑on experience building and managing dashboards in JIRA or equivalent

Ability to analyze and present data to drive decisions and continuous improvement.

Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I/II) or SAFe certification, highly preferred

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Skills:

Experience in large enterprise programs with complex interdependencies.

Ability to influence without authority and drive change in a matrixed organization.
