Job Details LITIGATION ASSOCIATE
A sophisticated plaintiff's litigation firm in Northern New Jersey seeks a motivated Associate with 1‑3 years of experience for their growing practice. This position offers substantial responsibility handling complex matters including commercial disputes, class actions, and multi‑party litigation with direct attorney‑client relationships and frequent court appearances.
Responsibilities
Handle complex litigation matters from case inception through trial and appeals
Draft substantive motions, briefs, and pleadings for federal and state courts
Conduct depositions and represent clients at court proceedings
Manage client relationships and provide strategic counseling
Collaborate across practice areas including commercial litigation, class actions, personal injury, and medical malpractice
Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
Work independently while coordinating with partners on high‑stakes matters
Qualifications
1‑4 years litigation experience (commercial or complex civil matters preferred)
New Jersey bar admission required
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Self‑motivated with ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent communication and client relations abilities
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Adaptability and comfort with diverse subject matter
Cultural fit and work ethic valued equally with credentials
Work Environment
Full‑time position in Northern New Jersey (Roseland area)
