Opportunity Global Network Engineering is responsible for the strategy, architecture, design, support, and reliability of Visa Inc.'s networks. In this role you will design and maintain IP networks for Visa’s Debit Processing Services (DPS) and Latin America & Caribbean commercial network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, implement, and support network systems of moderate complexity in a commercial environment.
Support WAN connections and determine capacity requirements for new business.
Serve as the primary expertise source for client connectivity, advising both clients and internal teams.
Document network designs for project teams, peers, and support organizations.
Provide technical assistance during network changes and client processing.
Deliver third‑level support to resolve network issues and guide other Visa teams.
Collaborate with Cybersecurity to meet security standards and investigate security events.
Recommend improvements to enhance client connectivity effectiveness.
Explore automation and AI opportunities to improve network management.
Essential Functions
Lead network engineering contributions on major projects.
Challenge conventional approaches and push boundaries.
Design and engineer customer‑facing network services.
Build and deploy scalable, quality network services.
Continuously learn new technologies, including public cloud.
Collaborate with other technology teams, including third parties.
Location & Work Style This is a hybrid position. Office attendance will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or
2 years of work experience with an advanced degree (Master’s, MBA, JD, MD), or
0 years of work experience with a PhD, or
8+ years of relevant work experience.
Required Qualifications
Network design and engineering experience on customer‑facing networks.
Automation and scripting experience (Ansible, Python, Perl, etc.).
IP networking, switching, routing in MPLS‑based networks; DMVPN HA experience preferred.
Knowledge of OSPF, BGP, IPSec, SSL, HSRP, VRRP, and NAT.
Familiarity with AI‑driven automation.
Experience with SDWAN technologies (SilverPeak, Versa) and public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
Experience in managed services operating models.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, writing, and verbal communication skills.
ITIL certification or basic understanding.
Experience creating detailed network design documentation (Visio, etc.).
Project leadership experience (planning, documentation, implementation).
Proficiency with network management tools (Netbrain, NetScout).
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Experience in finance or technology sectors is desirable.
Additional Information Work Hours:
Varies based on departmental needs.
Travel Requirements:
5–10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
Office setting; desk work, phone, and computer use.

Salary and Benefits U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $124,300.00 to $180,050.00 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job‑related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
