We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Tax Supervisor to join our firm. This position offers a unique opportunity for career growth and advancement, with a clear path to partnership. As a Tax Supervisor supporting our Estate and Trust tax team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough research, analysis, and review of complex tax matters related to estates and trusts. You will provide expert advice and guidance on tax planning strategies for high‑net‑worth individuals, trusts, and gifts. Your expertise in international tax issues, including cross‑border transactions and international estate planning, will be integral to the success of our firm.

What you will do
Review complex gift, estate, and fiduciary income tax returns, including related schedules and forms
Review fiduciary accountings for estates and trusts
Provide tax planning and consulting to high‑net‑worth clients for estate and individual income taxes
Research and consult on estate, gift, and trust related issues such as trustee and beneficiary issues, Crummey obligations, and generation‑skipping tax
Identify additional estate and income tax planning opportunities for clients
Oversee billing and collections for clients
Manage, coach, and mentor staff, seniors, and supervisors
Research and draft memorandum on complex tax matters
Identify and implement tax planning opportunities
Oversee complete tax research projects for a variety of clients and industries
Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet client deadlines
Conduct constructive discussions with team members on evaluations and provide counsel
Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader
What you need
Minimum of 3 years experience in tax compliance and planning, focusing on estates, trusts, and high‑net‑worth individuals
CPA and/or JD certification
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Proficiency in tax software (SurePrep, GEMs, CCH Axcess, Microsoft Suites, Adobe)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Extensive experience in researching, reviewing, and planning complex tax matters
Bonus Points
Strong technical knowledge of fiduciary tax, gift and estate compliance, and estate planning
Experience with high‑net‑worth individuals living abroad including estate planning
Strong knowledge of international tax issues and cross‑border transactions relating to estates and trusts
Ability to read, interpret, and summarize trust documents
Estimated compensation range: $85,000–$120,000 (Denver, CO). Compensation determined by skills, experience, and location.
