Cybersecurity Manager Position Summary: The Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for leading all efforts to secure organizational data, systems, and network operations. This includes oversight of cybersecurity defenses, backup and recovery strategies, vendor management, and compliance enforcement. The role ensures continuous technology uptime and business continuity across offices and distribution facilities, while directly supervising all IT Support Specialists. Essential Role Functions

1. Security Operations and Oversight

Lead and maintain endpoint protection, threat detection, and monitoring systems to prevent, detect and respond to cyber incidents. Oversee phishing protection, email security, and employee cybersecurity awareness initiatives. Manage encryption policies and data protection mechanisms to safeguard sensitive business and customer information. Enforce workstation and mobile device management policies, ensuring compliance, patching, and secure configuration across all devices. Implement and maintain multi‑factor authentication (MFA) and access control standards across enterprise systems. 2. Vendor and Tool Management

Oversee third‑party cybersecurity and IT service providers, ensuring performance, contract compliance, and effective deployment of security technologies. Coordinate with vendors for escalation support, upgrades and audits. Review and maintain vendor service‑level agreements (SLAs) to ensure reliable and timely support. 3. Backup, Recovery, and Business Continuity

Define and manage backup schedules (daily, weekly, monthly) for all key systems, verifying successful completion and testing restorations. Maintain and regularly update the Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan, including system dependencies, recovery priorities and recovery time objectives. Conduct annual DR and backup recovery tests to validate readiness and documentation. Ensure secure and redundant storage of backup data both on‑site and in the cloud. 4. Incident Response and Risk Management

Maintain and lead the Incident Response Plan to ensure the organization can effectively respond to and recover from cybersecurity events. Conduct post‑incident reviews and implement improvements based on lessons learned. Perform periodic security risk assessments, audits and vulnerability reviews. Report cybersecurity metrics and overall risk posture to leadership. Supervise the IT Support Specialist (Help Desk) team to ensure ITIL processes, documentation and SLAs are consistently followed. Serve as the escalation point for security‑related incidents or operational issues. Coordinate patch management across all servers, workstations and mobile devices. Lead employee cybersecurity training and awareness programs. Qualifications and Experience

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in IT or cybersecurity roles. Strong understanding of endpoint protection, encryption, patch management, MFA and backup technologies. Experience managing vendor relationships. Excellent documentation, communication and analytical skills. Preferred:

Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ or similar. Experience in a distribution, logistics or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with NIST CSF or ISO 27001 frameworks. Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Seniority level
