Senior Analyst, Strategy & Corporate Development
Axon, a leader in public safety technology, is looking for a Senior Analyst for its Strategy & Corporate Development team. The role focuses on M&A, investments, and other strategic initiatives that drive Axon's long‑term growth.
Work Location Hybrid – onsite Tuesdays‑Friday in one of our HUB locations, with remote Mondays. Flexibility for approved accommodations.
What You’ll Do
Develop deep understanding of Axon’s product portfolio, roadmap, competitive landscape, and ecosystem.
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on potential M&A and investment opportunities, including market sizing and financial modeling.
Partner with executive leadership to formulate investment theses, prioritize opportunities, and articulate recommendations.
Drive end‑to‑end M&A and investment diligence and execution, including portfolio management.
Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders (Product, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, People Ops) to execute deals.
Help develop seamless M&A and investment processes into a core competency at Axon.
Build quarterly presentations to the Board of Directors on strategic initiatives.
Support capital structure roadmap through ad‑hoc corporate finance analyses and capital market transactions.
Take ownership of projects from problem definition to recommendation, tackling ambiguous questions with rigor.
Maintain a “win‑right” attitude while owning high‑impact decisions.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred).
3+ years at a top‑tier bulge‑bracket, boutique investment bank, or private equity firm focused on M&A, investing or capital raising.
Passion for Axon’s mission to Protect Life and making a positive impact.
High energy, low ego, “can‑do” attitude.
Proven experience executing M&A and investment processes.
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
Advanced PowerPoint skills and ability to present to executive audiences.
Strong structured, hypothesis‑driven problem‑solving skills.
Rapid grasp of technology markets, trends, and dynamics.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Strong understanding of market competition and how to build defensible strategies.
Exceptional organization and ability to manage multiple high‑priority projects.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 99,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 158,400 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent on many factors, such as level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
