Position Summary The Director of Sales and Business Development will design and execute LogistixIQ’s overall sales strategy, bridging both strategic business development and tactical sales execution. This leader will be responsible for building a repeatable revenue engine—creating the playbooks, processes, and team necessary to double revenues and solidify our position as a leader in logistics technology for bulk materials and energy sectors.

Key Roles / Responsibilities

Develop and execute LogistixIQ go-to-market and sales strategy for the upcoming years.

Create and implement a comprehensive sales plan targeting small, medium and large corporate clients in oil & gas and moving outward to concrete and ready-mix.

Identify key market opportunities, customer segments, and strategies for penetrating the logistics industry.

Build scalable sales frameworks, CRM processes, and reporting systems to support rapid growth.

Partner with the executive team to align sales priorities with company strategy, marketing, and product development.

Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging industry knowledge and networks.

Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers in trucking companies in coordination with the VP of Partners and Strategy. Become the primary relationship for enterprise customers of all sizes, from local operators to Fortune 500 corporations.

Conduct market research to understand customer needs and trends, adapting the sales approach accordingly.

Effectively communicate LogistixIQ value proposition, particularly as it relates to SaaS solutions in logistics.

Deliver polished presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.

Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and solutions to enhance client operations and efficiency.

Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.

Provide regular updates on pipeline development, forecasting, and progress toward goals.

Lay the groundwork for future team expansion by directing sales hiring and training processes as the business grows.

Stay informed about trucking and logistics industry developments, regulations, and challenges.

Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand LogistixIQ presence.

Collaborate with product teams to ensure our SaaS solutions align with customer needs.

This role requires approximately 40% travel.

Sales Growth & Team Building

Lead sales execution with a goal to double annual revenues in 2027.

Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of sales and business development professionals across target regions.

Build performance dashboards, KPIs, and compensation structures to drive accountability and results.

Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and results orientation.

Required Education, Experience, And Qualifications

7+ years of progressive sales and business development experience, preferably in SaaS and managed services solutions as well as oil & gas, logistics, or transportation technologies.

Proven success in building or scaling a sales organization and delivering consistent year-over-year growth.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred, equivalent experience is accepted in lieu of formal education.

Demonstrated ability to sell to both small businesses and enterprise-level clients.

Experience with SaaS platforms and managed services coupled with the ability to convey their benefits effectively.

Exceptional sales hunting skills, with the ability to identify, pursue, and close new opportunities.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of connecting with a range of clients and stakeholders.

Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven, with the ability to work independently.

Strategic thinker who can balance immediate sales goals with long-term growth opportunities.

Strong understanding of the oil & gas and trucking industries, including operations, challenges, and technology needs.

Familiarity with supply chain management and logistics processes.

Experience using and managing HubSpot™.

Working Conditions

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.

Moves throughout the building to access files.

Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.

Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.

Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.

Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.

Must be able to travel to client engagements and trade shows up to 40% of the time.
