Summary
The Ash Group is hiring a new
Project Architect
(IT Architect) for our client ( a major electricity and natural gas utility provider ) based in
Minneapolis, MN .
This role is responsible for the technical quality and alignment of 4-5 projects within the Commercial Operations Group. You will develop both high-level and detailed technical designs, ensuring solutions are compliant with architectural standards, and will
lead technical implementation
across the full SDLC, coordinating application, database, security, and infrastructure deployment.
Compensation:
Competitive pay rate of
$82 per hour.
Benefits:
Medical, dental, vision, and direct primary care benefits. After six months of employment, enjoy a 4% matched 401(k) plan with immediate 100% vesting.
Duration:
12-month contract
with potential for extension.
Location:
Hybrid
in
Minneapolis, MN
(onsite Tue-Thu).
What You’ll Be Doing
Develop
high-level and detail-level technical designs
for enterprise solutions that satisfy complex business requirements.
Lead and coordinate all technical aspects
of solution implementation, including application, database, security, and infrastructure deployment across the SDLC.
Ensure all delivered solutions adhere to
architectural standards
and processes, ensuring regulatory and security compliance.
Coordinate technical aspects of deployment, including hardware environments, certification, and
software deployment .
Work with vendors to evaluate and implement new technologies and drive continuous improvement and innovation in solutions and operations.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
6+ years
of work experience, including
3+ years
in an enterprise technical architecture role.
3+ years
of hands‑on experience developing solutions using technology stacks such as
MEAN, LAMP, or Microsoft .NET .
3+ years
of experience with
SQL Server
and Relational Database Management Systems ( Oracle or MSQL ).
Demonstrated experience delivering technology solutions through the
full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) .
Experience with Architectural frameworks ( TOGAF or FEAF ) or in the
Energy/Utility Business
is a plus.
