HCM is seeking a Trading Assistant to support the investment team in trade execution, market monitoring, and management of proprietary systems and reporting tools. The role reports to the Head of U.S. Credit and Convertible Bond Trading.

Job Responsibilities

Assist with equity, credit, and convertible bond execution globally.

Develop deep knowledge of HCM’s investment process and technology platform.

Oversee hedge execution and allocation for equity, credit, and interest‑rate positions.

Effectively communicate market data, security, and trading information to the investment team and external counterparties.

Coordinate with risk, middle office, compliance, and pricing teams to ensure accurate position reporting and data integrity.

Liaise between investment and operations teams on corporate actions to ensure effective execution and compliance.

Assist technology team in developing and maintaining proprietary investment tools.

Build relationships with sell‑side desks to enhance execution and liquidity.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

1–3+ years of total work experience, ideally in equity derivatives, high‑yield, or convertible debt markets.

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

Comprehensive understanding of trading, investing, and capital markets.

Excellent organizational, quantitative, and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Meticulous attention to detail and disciplined processes.
