Highbridge Capital Management ("HCM") is seeking a Trading Assistant for our investment team. The team is responsible for managing all of Highbridge’s investment strategies. The position reports to HCM’s Head of U.S. Credit and Convertible Bond Trading. The role involves supporting the investment team in a variety of tasks related to, and including, trade execution and market monitoring. A key focus will be managing certain proprietary systems and reporting tools, which are used by the entire trading team.

Job Responsibilities

Assist with equity, credit, and convertible bond execution globally

Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the Firm’s investment process and technology platform

Oversee equity, credit, and interest rate hedge execution and allocation

Effectively communicate market data, security and trading information to the investment team and external counterparties

Coordinate with Highbridge’s risk, middle office, compliance, and pricing teams to ensure accurate position reporting and maintain data integrity

Liaise between the investment and operations teams on corporate actions to ensure effective execution and compliance

Collaborate with Highbridge’s technology team to assist with the development and maintenance of the Firm’s proprietary investment tools

Foster relationships with sell‑side sales and trading desks to enhance execution and liquidity

Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

Experience: 1 to 3+ years of total work experience, ideally in equity derivative, high yield or convertible debt markets

Education: A degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field

Strong Intellectual Capacity: Comprehensive understanding of trading, investing, and capital markets, with the ability to comprehend complex securities and investment strategies

Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities to effectively manage multiple tasks

Outstanding Quantitative and Analytical Abilities: Demonstrated proficiency in quantitative analysis and problem‑solving

Meticulous Attention to Detail: A commitment to precision and adherence to disciplined processes is essential

Effective Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Collaborative and Adaptable Team Player: Excels in a dynamic, global team environment and embraces collaboration
