Teaching Associate in Finance – University of Bristol, School of Physiology, Pharmacology and Neuroscience.
The Finance Group, part of the Bristol Business School, delivers high‑quality undergraduate and MSc teaching in finance, with interests in asset pricing and data science. The role involves teaching, student support, assessment and dissertation supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Responsibilities
Deliver and support undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials and seminars in Finance and related areas.
Act as a personal tutor and supervisor, supporting students’ academic progress, wellbeing and UG/MSc dissertation projects.
Mark coursework and exams, and provide fair, constructive feedback.
Contribute to curriculum enhancement and programme development in line with the School’s strategic ambitions.
Participate in School meetings, committees, and administrative duties that support effective programme delivery.
Support or lead the administration and coordination of Finance degree programmes, including course development, student welfare and liaison with external examiners.
Qualifications You are completing or have completed a PhD in a related field (Finance desirable) with a solid grasp of corporate finance, asset pricing and banking. You enjoy quantitative analysis, communicate ideas clearly and have a strong commitment to teaching and student support. Strong programming skills (particularly in Python) and experience in teaching asset pricing or financial econometrics are especially encouraged.

Contract & Compensation Fixed‑term until 31 July 2026 (2 positions available); full or part‑time. Grade I. Salary £39,906‑£44,746 per annum (pro‑rata if part‑time).
