Duties
Represent the project owner in daily oversight of construction activities.
Coordinate the activities of owner, designer, construction contractor, public utility, and third party/abutter personnel.
Monitor and advise the owner on project budget and schedule status.
Analyze, estimate, and negotiate potential change orders and claims.
Contract administration.
Identify and resolve construction problems and challenges in the field.
Inspect work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications.
Report daily progress; track and document quantities of work performed.
Other oversight and reporting responsibilities as assigned.
Perform quantity takeoffs and calculations.
Qualifications Experience in managing, inspecting, testing, and coordinating construction projects is a must.
Must be fully proficient in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel and construction reporting/quantity tracking software.
Must have effective written and oral communication skills, be eager to learn, willing to perform a variety of tasks and be a team player.
A minimum of three years of experience in airport, water/wastewater, civil, highway, facility or a relevant construction field is required, with two years in a field construction management capacity.
Professional certifications strongly preferred: PE, CCM, EIT, CMIT, CACM, NICET, NETTCP, ACI, NACE, AWS/CWI, ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor.
Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) or Associate’s Degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must have a current, valid US State driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville’s driving policy. OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment.
