Overview The Oncology US Medical Excellence & Training role works closely with Global & US Medical Education and Training and the Medical Affairs Leadership Team (MALT) to develop and maintain all Medical Affairs training curricula for both technical and soft skills.

Key responsibilities include communicating expectations, timelines, and disseminating information for trainings and certifications across office‑based and field‑based associates.

Essential Functions

New hire onboarding: Global & US Medical Affairs 90‑day training plan, scientific training and certification.

Continuing education: disease states, data, and treatment landscape training and certification for global & US medical teams.

Collaborate with MALT, Medical Education & Training, Medical Strategy, and Field Medical to identify training needs, plan programs, and manage budgets.

Develop and monitor metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness of educational activities and provide senior management updates.

Maintain updated PMRC/CRC approved slide decks for MSL scientific exchange.

Coordinate Sales/Commercial training by MSLs in response to Sales Training requests.

Work closely with US MSL Leads, MSL Management, and Medical Directors to create daily highlights and executive summaries for congresses and medical meetings.

Requirements

Advanced terminal degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) in medical or biosciences.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in training, medical affairs/excellence, or a related function.

Oncology disease‑management knowledge relevant to Eisai’s therapeutic areas.

Strong scientific, pharmaceutical knowledge, and excellent presentation and teaching skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to train professionals on soft skills, strategic thinking, and business acumen.

Comfortable speaking about multiple drug indications, disease‑state management, and competitor products and data.

Understanding of the pharmaceutical corporate environment and appreciation for Commercial Operations.

Ability to motivate and teach without a direct reporting relationship.

Critical thinking, analytical skills, and goal achievement.

Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Remote role with up to 10‑20% travel to conferences and internal meetings.

Salary & Benefits Base salary range: $182,200 – $239,100. Eligible for Eisai Inc. Annual Incentive Plan and Long Term Incentive Plan.
