Senior Psychiatrist (Supervisor) – Wasco State Prison (WSP)
California Correctional Health Care Services (CCHCS) is seeking a Senior Psychiatrist Supervisor to provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of inmates located in the Correctional Treatment Center (CTC) and Mental Health Crisis Bed (MHCB). The incumbent will conduct weekly individual or group therapy, develop treatment and discharge plans, participate in interdisciplinary team evaluations, and consult with psychiatrists, nursing, and other staff.
Base Salary :
P $32,260 Q $33,032
(subject to periodic adjustments). Recruitment and retention bonuses may be available for newly hired clinicians.
Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat inmates in the CTC and MHCB
Provide individual and group therapy on a weekly basis
Develop treatment and discharge plans
Participate in interdisciplinary team evaluations
Consult with psychiatrists, nursing, and other staff
Minimum Qualifications
Medical degree (MD or DO) with residency in psychiatry
Board certification in psychiatry
Minimum of 3 years of inpatient psychiatric experience
Experience working in a correctional or forensic setting preferred
