Under general supervision, the
Painter II
performs interior and exterior painting, to include preparing surfaces and affected areas. What Will I Be Doing: Completes work orders as assigned per safety requirements. Responsible for inventory, paint equipment, ordering, receiving, stocking and supply levels. Maintains ordering requests, monthly inventory, paint color cards and files. Completes daily inspection of assigned areas. Inspects areas for corrosion control and painting needs and repairs problems areas. Assists facilities team members in emergency situations. Prepares surfaces for painting by filling nail holes, patching cracks and joints with filler. Ensures smooth paintable surfaces by scraping, sanding, and removing loose paint. Selects premixed paints or mixes own paint. Paints with brushes, spray gun, or rollers. Stores paint and related chemicals in accordance with Company safety policy. Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned. Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. What are we looking for? To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in professional painting or related experience required. High School Diploma or equivalent. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to take initiative and effectively adapt to changes. Recognizes an emergency situation and takes appropriate action.
