This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project. Regular and predictable attendance is required. The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) National Systems Programs (NSP) software capability is seeking a Contract Senior Software Engineer in El Segundo, California or Seal Beach, California. The selected candidate will perform full stack development using the AWS infrastructure. The ideal candidate has experience working across the tech stack with a solid understanding of software architecture, infrastructure tooling, and engineering fundamentals. The candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams and stakeholders to design and implement scalable software solutions, ensure engineering excellence, and achieve program objectives. Position Responsibilities

Lead the development, test, and maintenance of web applications that meet industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards Lead the review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products Coordinate the development, maintenance, enhancement, and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations Lead activities to develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products Participate in the agile software development lifecycle including planning, reviews, and supporting customer meetings Debug and lead resolution of issues identified to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products Lead handling of user inquiries, troubleshooting of technical issues, and user feedback analysis Lead research and implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development Lead development, establishment, monitoring, and improvement of software processes, tools, and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks Lead execution and documentation of software research and development projects Consult on software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations Lead software project management activities and software supplier management functions Lead tracking and evaluation of software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process compliance with project plans and industry standards This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance. (An U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)

3+ years of experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript 3+ years of experience in Python Experience with software architecture principles and design patterns Experience with software development using agile principles and a structured development process Bachelor’s degree within a STEM field Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

7+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Experience leading an agile software development team Experience with relational databases Experience with React, Django, Flask, and FastAPI Experience with infrastructure tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines) Experience with building out regression test suites Pay Rate Range

Min Pay Rate: 65 USD hourly Max Pay Rate: 72 USD hourly Benefits Information
