Early Head Start Home Visitor

We are looking for Full Time Full Year Early Head Start Home Visitors! This position would be located in our Rochester MN area!!!
JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for the coordination of Early Head Start Programming. This position works in partnership with expectant parents, infants and toddlers in a home setting. The focus is to promote the parent as the primary teacher of his/her own children. Home Visitors are free to use personal choices in teaching within the bounds of the Head Start Program curriculum, Performance Standards, MN DHS Rule 3, and best practices in early childhood care.
Education and experience A minimum of a home-based Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework as part of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree. Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards is helpful as well as, experience working with families from diverse and low-income populations.
Desired Qualification - Preferred Language - Arabic Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Minnesota driver's license and reliable transportation needed.
Current infant/child CPR/First Aid certificate or must be able to obtain.
This non-exempt position is scheduled 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. Compensation is based upon education level, starting at $22.11/hour. Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Life, Long-Term Disability and 403(b) Retirement Savings, in addition to paid vacation, sick leave, holidays and personal holidays.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provides individualized programming based on the identified needs of expectant parents and parents of infants/toddlers.
Facilitates developmentally appropriate cognitive, social, emotional, physical, language and literacy skills.
Responsible for computerized data collection, entry, reporting and analyzing of child outcomes as mandated by federal, state and local regulations.
Conducts individual child screenings and assessments in partnership with Public Health and parents.
Refers and assists in development and implementation of federal, state and locally mandated regulations: Planned and Documented Interventions, Individual Interagency Intervention Plans, and Individual Health Plans.
Conducts conferences and home visits with parents and facilitates transition meetings.
Implements health, social service, safety, nutrition and mental health services in collaboration with program managers, staff, consultants and community partners.
Initiates recruitment of Head Start families.
Develops and implements individualized Family Partnership Agreements and child goals with families to identify strengths, goals, and strategies toward achieving self-sufficiency and health development.
Manages crisis intervention and utilizes community resources and referrals.
Plans and implements family socialization experiences.
Assists with community outreach projects, programs and public relations.
Responsible for compliance with program training requirements.
Perform all job-related responsibilities with sensitivity, respecting confidentiality, integrity, and privacy of families.
Responsible for advocating for Head Start children and families.
Responsible for using available resources to increase knowledge, proficiency, and fluency in the languages spoken by the children and families served.
Support the holistic development of Head Start children and families as mandated by Head Start Performance Standards.
Responsible for implementing parent-focused and parent-driven weekly home visits, which may include evening visits.
Responsible for familiarizing oneself with local resources and sharing information with families.
Responsible for planning and carrying out developmentally appropriate and individualized experiences that include Head Start component areas and meet DHS Rule 3, and Head Start Performance Standard requirements.
Communicate any strengths and/or concerns (health, emotional, developmental) of the child with supervisor and other appropriate leadership team members as needed and at case consults.
Assist Health Services Coordinator in promoting physical and mental health, safety, and nutrition.
Responsible for assisting children during self-care activities, such as toileting (including diapering procedures when necessary), tooth brushing procedure, hand washing, and preparation for outdoor activities.
Attend and participate in monthly site team meetings.
Responsible for encouraging and informing parents of opportunities for involvement (Parent Child Activity Days, Policy Council, volunteer positions, socials, family events, etc.).
Responsible, as a mandated reporter, to report suspected abuse and neglect.
Participate in required staff training and development.
Responsible for timely completion of all records and reports as required by Head Start Performance Standards, MN DHS Rule 3, and agency/program policy.
