Early Head Start Home Visitor
Full Time, Full Year position located in Rochester, MN.
Job Summary This position is responsible for the coordination of Early Head Start Programming, working in partnership with expectant parents, infants, and toddlers in a home setting. The focus is to promote parents as the primary teachers of their children. Home Visitors use personal approaches within the Head Start Program curriculum, Performance Standards, MN DHS Rule 3, and early childhood care best practices.
Responsibilities
Coordinate Early Head Start programming in home settings
Partner with expectant parents, infants, and toddlers
Promote parents as the primary teachers of their children
Apply Head Start curriculum, performance standards, and best practices in early childhood care
Qualifications
Minimum of a home‑based Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, or equivalent coursework toward an associate’s or bachelor’s degree
Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards is helpful
Experience working with families from diverse and low‑income populations
Valid Minnesota driver’s license and reliable transportation
Current infant/child CPR/First Aid certificate or ability to obtain it within a specified time
Preferred Qualifications
Arabic language proficiency
Schedule 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 7:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Compensation & Benefits Starting at $22.11 per hour, based on education level. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, long‑term disability, 403(b) retirement savings, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and personal holidays.
