As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of construction, renovation, or restructuring projects, delegating tasks to subordinate managers, contractors, and laborers while managing permits, design, programming, and construction execution.
Key Objectives
Provide leadership and direction for all project phases—planning, preconstruction, execution, and closeout—ensuring alignment with client goals, design intent, and ECS standards of quality and accountability.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and internal partners throughout the design and construction process to promote teamwork, problem‑solving, and project alignment.
Lead the design team in creating conceptual budgets and driving value‑engineering initiatives to achieve cost‑effective, high‑performing solutions.
Support preconstruction by reviewing estimates, evaluating project approaches, and identifying efficiency and risk‑mitigation opportunities.
Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, establishing milestone dates and ensuring all activities meet contract, client, and company expectations.
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation—scopes of work, contracts, purchase orders, reports, and budget updates—to support clear communication and accountability.
Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and consultants to secure favorable terms and maintain alignment with ECS quality and performance expectations.
Coordinate permitting efforts and ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Manage project budgets, schedules, and change management processes to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Partner closely with the Project Superintendent to ensure safe, on‑time, budget‑compliant construction at the highest quality standards.
Monitor project performance metrics and reporting, maintaining visibility into costs, progress, and resources for proactive decision‑making.
Lead regular project meetings to align internal teams, trade partners, and clients, reinforcing clear communication and shared accountability.
Mentor and develop project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement consistent with ECS core values.
Who You Work With and Career Guidance You will collaborate with project managers, superintendents, assistant project managers, subcontractors, clients, and internal team members. This role reports to the Director of Construction Operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience preferred).
10+ years in construction with a minimum of 5 years as Senior Project Manager.
Basic knowledge of construction procedures and materials.
Prior experience with Procore and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project (preferred).
