Job Description : Matlen Silver is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer Consultant to lead and participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex UNIX/AIX and Red Hat Linux engineering activities involving cross-functional implementation, support, and data center capabilities. You will be responsible for components of highly complex engineering and analytical tasks and activities, and will be viewed as a technology subject matter expert that must provide complex technology solutions across differing audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and vendors.
Responsibilities Lead and participate in the design, development, and implementation of UNIX/AIX and Red Hat Linux engineering activities involving cross-functional implementation, support, and data center capabilities. Provide complex technology solutions across technical, managerial, business executive, and vendor audiences.
Required Skills
Experience administrating IBM AIX on Power Systems.
Experience with RedHat Linux 8/9, VMware, and Red Hat Satellite technologies.
Expertise supporting AIX V7, NIM, advanced AIX Virtualization, PowerHA, EMC Timefinder & Snapvx Technologies.
Proficient in performing OS administration tasks on RHEL6, RHEL7 running on ESX virtualized servers.
In depth Linux knowledge required, including LVM and SAN multipathing
Shell scripting and other automation skills.
Experience installing and configuring VIO Servers and client configurations.
Familiarity with pSeries AIX server models and HMC Consoles.
Knowledge of SAN based disk solutions and their configurations.
Familiarity with tools like BladeLogic, DNT, ESM, Ansible, is a huge plus.
