Part‑Time Physical Therapist – Facial Paralysis

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist / Occupational Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in providing care for patients with facial paralysis. This is a unique opportunity to work in close collaboration with physicians and advanced practice providers specializing in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) and Facial Plastic Surgery. The position will include hands‑on training for 6‑12 weeks, after which you will manage your own patient roster.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with facial paralysis.
Collaborate closely with MDs and APPs to coordinate individualized care plans.
Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Contribute to ongoing learning and development within this highly specialized area of rehabilitation.
Qualifications
Licensed Therapist (PT) in MA.
Strong interest in or prior experience with neuromuscular rehabilitation.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
Willingness to learn and develop expertise in facial rehabilitation techniques.
Essential Functions
Completes billing sheet accurately by end of day.
Evaluates effects of treatment at various stages and adjusts treatments to achieve maximum benefit.
Performs patient assessment and establishes a plan of care.
Provides in‑service education programs for nursing personnel as needed.
Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
Discusses evaluation, goals and treatment with both patient and family.
Participates in hospital‑wide quality process improvement.
Supervises PTAs according to organization policy and state regulations.
