Clinical Director – Brand New Adult SUD Treatment Program Location: Agawam, MA

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 annually (based on experience)

Schedule: Full-Time, On-Site

We’re excited to announce the opening of Pyramid Healthcare’s newest facility in Agawam, MA, dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based treatment for adults facing Substance Use Disorders. As part of this brand-new program launch, we’re seeking an experienced and mission-driven Clinical Director to help build, shape, and lead our clinical services from the ground up.

Position Overview The Clinical Director oversees all clinical operations within the program, ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and client care. This leadership role involves supervising the clinical team, guiding program development, implementing best practices, and fostering an environment that supports professional growth and outstanding client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all clinical services, including assessment, intake, group therapy, family sessions, individual therapy, aftercare planning, crisis stabilization, and utilization review.

Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to clinical staff, ensuring structured onboarding, regular supervision, and ongoing professional development.

Collaborate with program and corporate leadership to design and refine clinical programming in alignment with Pyramid Healthcare’s mission and best-practice models.

Ensure compliance with all documentation, EMR, billing, and regulatory standards.

Monitor client engagement, progress, and outcome measures to drive continuous improvement and program effectiveness.

Identify and address barriers to client participation and staff performance through proactive problem‑solving and process development.

Lead the creation and implementation of clinical curriculum consistent with regional and divisional philosophies of care.

Participate in marketing, community outreach, and referral development to promote program visibility and engagement.

Manage on‑call responsibilities and provide crisis stabilization support as needed.

Represent the program during internal and external audits, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Supervise and evaluate all clinical staff, providing leadership, guidance, and performance feedback.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Licensure

LADC I or other independent master’s-level licensure valid in the state of Massachusetts.

Qualifications & Requirements

Master’s degree in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, or a closely related field.

Minimum of 2 years of supervised experience in substance use disorder counseling.

At least 1 year of full‑time clinical supervisory experience required.

Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent clinical judgment and decision‑making abilities.

Ability to effectively respond to and manage crisis situations.

In‑depth knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations.

Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Passion for leadership and enthusiasm for building a new program from the ground up.
