At Sloan Lubrication Systems, we are seeking a qualified and dedicated professional to join our close-knit team. In the role of Accounting Analyst, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Sloan Lubrication’s century-long tradition of excellence by providing high-quality accounting services that support the company, its customers, and its employees.
Position Overview The Accounting Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of daily financial transactions related to the company’s payables, receivables and advanced accounting functions. This role ensures timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, receipts, and reconciliations, supporting the organization’s financial integrity and cash flow management.
Duties & Responsibilities Accounts Payable (AP):
Oversee the full AP cycle— from invoice receipt and coding to payment execution and reporting.
Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and approval in accordance with company policies.
Prepare and execute weekly or scheduled payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate and organized AP records and documentation for audit purposes.
Completes month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals and reporting.
Accounts Receivable (AR):
Manage the full AR cycle, including billing, cash application, and collections.
Generate and distribute customer invoices and credit memos promptly and accurately.
Record customer payments and apply cash receipts to corresponding invoices.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely collections.
Investigate and resolve billing or payment discrepancies.
Prepare AR aging reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
General Finance Support:
Performs accounting functions beyond accounts receivable and accounts payable, advanced tax compliance and filings, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
Provide insightful information and expectations to the Executive Team to aid in long‑term and short‑term decision making.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate transaction processing.
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial workflows.
Knowledge, Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
4–6 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or general accounting.
Proficiency with Accounting, ERP systems, and Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis).
Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
Excellent organizational, planning, research, analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong attention to detail required.
Excellent computer and mathematical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross‑departmental collaboration.
