Position Summary As a Recruiter, you will spearhead sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent to meet Peckham Industries’ staffing needs across multiple sites in New York and New England. This hybrid/remote role requires a proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Essential Functions
Committed to serve.
Assist hiring managers in creating, reviewing, and publishing job descriptions on relevant channels.
Determined.
Leverage external networks to build a diverse talent pipeline, including outreach to educational institutions and industry organizations.
Efficiency.
Use the custom ATS to review applications, screen candidates, and schedule interviews.
Respect and engage.
Provide interview training and support hiring teams in decision making and offers.
Collaborate on compensation packages, ensuring alignment with company standards and market trends.
Ownership and caring.
Deliver an outstanding candidate experience with a focus on diversity and community engagement.
Measurement.
Generate detailed recruitment reports to support strategic decision making.
Communicate.
Present metrics and hiring recommendations to leadership and participate in new hire orientation.
Innovate.
Stay current on talent acquisition trends and adapt practices to maintain Peckham as an employer of choice.
Position Requirements
Five (5) years of recruiting experience for labor and salaried positions in construction, manufacturing, or production environments. Generalist HR experience is a plus.
Certified and trained in competency‑based interviewing is highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, psychology, or a related field.
Exceptional listening skills and strong communication with candidates and hiring managers.
Well‑organized with strong time‑management skills.
Working knowledge of ATS and ability to generate talent acquisition reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word).
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Legal right to work in the U.S.

Travel Up to 25% travel by personal vehicle to locations throughout New York and New England.
Work Environment & Physical Demands This hybrid‑remote role requires standard office equipment use and primarily sedentary work. Occasional walking, bending, or standing may be required.
