This position oversees all Human Resources and payroll functions within the facility and reports to the Administrator.

Base pay: $25.00 per hour.

Full‑time employees are eligible for all listed benefits. Part‑time employees are eligible for all benefits except Medical. On‑call employees are not eligible for any benefits except 401K.

Placement Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities

Oversee aspects orienting new employees, including ensuring new hires complete appropriate paperwork, are entered into the system, and are oriented to Avalon and the specific facility.

Oversee all aspects of payroll, including entering new employees into the payroll system, disbursing employee paychecks, and ensuring all employee information is up to date and correct.

Act as facilitator and third‑party liaison for employees at the facility.

Oversee all unemployment insurance claims for the facility.

Oversee all employee benefits at the facility level.

Maintain confidential information.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.

3 years of HR experience, including hiring, onboarding, HRIS data entry and management, investigations, performance management, and terminations.

3 years of payroll experience reviewing and preparing time data and resolving exceptions for successful payroll processing.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organization and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar field.

5 years HR/Payroll experience.

Advanced knowledge of payroll systems.

Previous experience in long‑term health care setting.
