Job Description Binyod provides expert Information Technology solutions in the Houston, TX area. We provide low voltage systems installations, MSP services and provide consultation to develop unique solutions appropriate for business needs. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist and interface with the Technician and Lead Technician regarding on-site scheduling of work activities and timely delivery of equipment.

Support Technician with installing, wiring, testing, and adjusting connections to diagnose the problem.

Support system testing (hardware and software) both in the field and at the monitoring locations.

Support tests to ensure all newly installed systems and component devices are operational.

Work with low voltage cable, conduit, and circuits.

Install intrusion, access control security systems, IP camera devices, Audio/Video devices.

Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, which can include drilling, trenching or aerial runs.

Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations ensuring that security systems are complete.

Pulling and terminating wiring cables, such as Cat 5E or 6 for cabling infrastructure.

Trim and secure security devices.

Install j-hooks and ladder racks.

Install support structures (ladder rack, basket tray, J-hooks).

Dress and terminate the distribution frame.

Knowledge of 4 pair & T568B (wiring patterns for standard & compatibility) with correct arrangement of the wires.

Responsible for the testing of voice and data cables.

Able to dress network cable into service loops.

QUALIFICATIONS

Clean driver's license for transportation.

Must be able to read technical documents, drawings, blueprints, programming documentation, and wiring diagrams.

Must have a working knowledge of networking, intrusion alarm systems, access control cameras, cables, and alarms.

Basic knowledge of low voltage cabling (voice & data).

Trained in ladder safety and OSHA construction safety.

Trained in PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Basic computer experience required.

Work on ladders up to 30 feet.

Ability to work in office settings, tight spaces, elevated work levels such as catwalks or platforms.

Previous low voltage installation experience is a plus.

Any licenses currently held are a plus.

Education

High School or equivalent experience is necessary.

Degree not required; any college or trade school education is a plus.

Low voltage license is a plus.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Experience monitoring security cameras or reviewing security camera footage.

Weekend Availability

Travel within state of Texas (50%).

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $750 - $1000 per week (5 days, some Saturdays) plus per diem if out of city.
