Harry Winston
The Specialist, Creative Visual Merchandising will support the creative development of all visual merchandising initiatives from concept ideation and 2D design to 3D rendering, prototype development, and production. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality visual merchandising assets for management approval and ensuring alignment with brand standards. The position will also collaborate closely with the Marketing and PR departments to design and execute visual elements for global market special events. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with strong technical and design skills, possessing a refined understanding of visual storytelling within the luxury market.
Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Create concepts for events and exhibition projects in partnership with the Event Manager, translating Marketing Events Team briefings into compelling spatial and 3D design renderings.
Develop prototypes in collaboration with the VM Director and Senior CVM Manager to ensure design integrity and brand alignment.
Produce detailed technical drawings and production-ready files for all design assets, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Review proposals and shop drawings, providing constructive feedback to maintain design standards.
Source materials and develop fabrication processes by coordinating with vendors, suppliers, artisans, and production partners.
Design custom display forms, signage, and visual elements tailored to specific event requirements.
Conduct competitor research and analysis.
Lead research and concept development for window displays from Marketing briefs, creating mood boards, sketches, and 2D/3D renderings in collaboration with the VM Department and Design Associate.
Assist Senior Managers on window display rollout planning and production to ensure seamless execution.
Assist with VM set-ups in the salon to test prototypes.
Create custom display forms and signage for the retail network, aligned with current display concepts and tailored to new product launches, including CAD files as required.
Prepare and deliver production files for all display forms and signage.
Key Job Relationships Collaborates closely with the Visual Merchandising Director, Manager, Senior Designer, Coordinator, Creative Designer, Experiential Designer, Event Designer, and Spatial Designer. Works cross-functionally with Marketing, Retail Salon, Public Relations, Logistics, Merchandising, and Quality Assurance departments to ensure cohesive and consistent brand execution across all initiatives.
Job Qualifications
5+ years of Visual Merchandising design and 3D design experience; preferably working with a similar lifestyle or luxury brand.
Ability to interpret creative direction and feedback.
Strong command of Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) and 3D rendering programs (SketchUp, Rhino); Microsoft Office proficiency.
Ability to utilize 3D printing and laser cutting machines.
Deep understanding of tools, current technology, trends and design principles and how they apply to luxury jewelry and timepieces.
Solid understanding of production methods and techniques for Visual Merchandising Items and 3D design items.
Understanding of merchandising design standards in a luxury retail environment.
Ability to take direction, multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment with excellence.
Strong verbal and written communication, organization and problem‑solving skills.
