About Forest Heights Country Club Forest Heights Country Club was established in 1947 as a premier destination for members, their families, and guests. Our golf course is renowned as one of the finest in the state. Position Specific We are looking for a proven “Club Chef” who can lead and train the culinary team, communicate effectively with membership and staff, and consistently deliver culinary excellence. The Executive Chef will develop and maintain a premier dining experience that reflects the club’s tradition, hospitality, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all culinary operations, menu development, staff leadership, food quality, sanitation, cost control, and kitchen administration.
Collaborate closely with the General Manager, Food & Beverage Managers, and service staff to ensure the highest level of member and guest satisfaction across à la carte dining, banquets, and special events.
Be visible and engaging with the membership, serving as the Club’s “face” of the culinary operation and actively listening to culinary desires.
Inspire and coach the culinary team, building a strong culture of excellence and ensuring staff have the tools and support needed for success.
Develop a consistent à la carte operation that improves ticket times and food consistency through efficient systems and a sense of urgency.
Create a “wow factor” by staying attuned to market demands and consistently exceeding member expectations for product quality, taste, presentation, variety, and creativity.
Candidate Qualifications
Strong leadership with demonstrated trend awareness, culinary expertise, and mastery of technique.
Excellent judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Ability to mentor, coach, and evaluate culinary staff, rewarding and disciplining fairly.
Proficient in budgeting, including operational and capital needs, and alignment with the club’s financial plan.
Hands‑on approach, serving as a role model for high‑quality member service.
Excellent sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards across all food service areas.
Strong communication skills with staff, other departments, and membership.
Experience presenting comprehensive staffing and payroll matrices for club financial planning.
