Job Description
The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Procurement Strategies: Execute the strategies that align with the company's objectives to optimize purchasing processes and supplier relationships. Assist buyers in negotiating, sourcing, contracting and establishing supplier agreements. Oversee the procurement budget, prepare cost analyses, and ensure expenditures align with financial goals. Manage the Demand Planning Functions while collaborating with internal teams to forecast needs and specifications, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services. Ensure all procurement activities comply with legal requirements and company policies, while managing risks associated with the supply chain. Recruit, train, and manage procurement staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. Responsibilities also include continuously monitoring supplier/carrier performance as well as interviewing and investigating potential new suppliers. The Procurement Manager will oversee the processes and develop the best methodology for day-to-day purchasing operations. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing all purchasing activities, establishing goals based on inventory needs and sales projections and setting objectives in line with the business plan. Requirements
Qualification & Experience: 5+ years of procurement management experience. A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, with logistics, business administration, or a related field. APICS certification a plus. Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills are essential. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
