System and Subsystem Requirement Decomposition Thread Ownership for System Level Requirements Verification Planning and Development Cost Reduction Trades and Activities DOORS Administration and Management Generation and tracking of Technical Performance Measures (TPMs) Open requirement issues (TBX) tracking and resolution Application of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to develop and maintain System Model in CAMEO Basic Qualifications for Level 4 Sr. Principal Systems Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and 8+ years of engineering experience OR Master’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and 6+ years of engineering experience OR PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline and 4+ years of engineering experience Candidate must have active SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years, at time of application, and prior to start date OR Candidate must have an active, current, or within scope DOD Top Secret security clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years, at time of application, and prior to start date as well as the ability to obtain and maintain active SCI access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to the candidate’s maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.* Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree and/or PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline Previous experience in space vehicle systems engineering, requirements & verification, and/or system/space vehicle architecture Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model‑based system engineering Experience in subsystem, payload, or system integration Experience using DOORS and Cameo Strong people skills and excellent communication skills (upward and downward) Active DOD Top Secret clearance and active SCI access at time of application and prior to start date This role is contingent upon capturing program award(s) along with acquiring and maintaining customer and/or business funding.
