Job Overview We’re looking for a talented general counsel to become our first in-house legal leader—building our legal function from the ground up and shaping the framework that will support our next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide solutions-oriented legal guidance across the business that balances speed and risk.
Build and scale the legal function with a priority focus on commercial matters, leveraging a second commercial counsel hire for your team.
Design and roll out legal processes, templates, and policies with strategic and cross-functional goals, including employment & HR, data privacy, IP, and potential M&A activities.
Guide our expansion into new markets and help navigate an evolving data ecosystem.
About You
J.D. with stellar academic credentials
Admission in good standing to the New York bar
8+ years’ experience across a top law firm and in-house
Background in SaaS business and/or high-growth startups
Proven leadership and mentoring skills
Startup-savvy, pragmatic, and excited to build from scratch
Ability and desire to work at our NYC office ~3 days/week
