The Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE) creates and sustains meaningful interactions between students and faculty. As a collaborative team member of VPUE, you have a unique opportunity to advance and support programs that touch and enhance the lives of every undergraduate student at Stanford.
Responsibilities
Provide direct advice to students on a range of issues, including academic progress, program policies, career plans, accessibility, and community standards.
Apprise students of research, fellowship, scholarship, and co‑curricular opportunities.
Collaborate with other UADs and Academic Advising colleagues to develop and implement programming and make strategic recommendations for future programs.
Analyze and help develop report requirements, portals, and student‑facing communications.
Manage outreach programs and relationships with university partners.
Resolve substantial issues that span multiple areas, using advanced technical and professional knowledge.
Interpret and implement university policy related to academic policies; oversee implementation of policies and practices for a student population or school.
Provide consulting advice to internal and external organizations; act as subject‑matter expert in a specialized field.
Perform regular desk‑based computer tasks, including writing, sorting, filing, and light physical handling of objects up to 10 pounds.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Advanced communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate with students, faculty, and staff.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to review and analyze complex information.
Advanced computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to ensure and apply compliance with legal, financial, and university policies and external regulations.
Preferred
Advanced degree (PhD preferred).
Three years of advising, teaching, and/or conducting research.
Advanced skills in coaching student decision‑making.
Ability to guide and review undergraduate research grants.

Compensation and Benefits Expected pay range: $105,087 - $124,900 per annum.
