Sr. FP&A Analyst - Remote

UNFI . The Senior FP&A Analyst provides financial support for critical areas and time-bound processes such as the annual budget, periodic forecasts and the month-end close cycle. Responsibilities include data gathering, trending, modeling, forecasting, planning and reporting, and collecting information from across the company to build models that provide insight into business dynamics. Prepares and reviews accurate and timely financial and business-related analyses, research, and forecasts. Performs advanced trend and variance analyses, incorporating data from multiple areas and identifying cross-functional impacts and opportunities for process improvements. Manages weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and updates to the management team; maintains KPIs for the assigned area. Provides insights into business performance and translates findings into actionable plans. Conducts financial evaluation research using data from internal and external sources. Presents research results to management and supports annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, including variance analysis and sensitivity testing. Leads critical planning and analysis processes and develops short-term (1 year) and long-term (3–5 year) forecasting models, primarily driver-based from multi-function inputs. Leads process improvements and strategic initiatives within the functional area under supervision; analyzes business processes and suggests improvements. Articulates the impact of analysis, modeling, and decision support on key financial metrics (e.g., Gross Profit, Operating Margin). Develops and presents business cases to financial and business leadership; acts as an internal consultant interacting with management at all levels. Performs other relevant duties as required. Education / Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. MBA or CPA preferred. Experience
5+ years FP&A experience required. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus. Experience with Oracle and UFIN Financial Reporting & Planning tools is a plus. Strong strategic planning, financial and operations background; not purely financial. Financial modeling experience; budgeting and forecasting experience a plus. Demonstrated success in multiple, difficult, and complex financial analyses. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Thorough knowledge of economic, market, consumer, and business research for wholesale industries. Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access). Ability to work independently and as a team member; strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Strong business acumen and ability to manage confidential information. Statistical modeling skills are a plus. Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and TM1 is a plus. Ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints and take ownership of responsibilities. Work Environment
Remote Role: This position is classified as remote; you may work from your primary residence. Office visits may be required for business reasons or as directed by your manager. Travel (minor): May be required to travel to company offices or other locations for specific meetings or business reasons. Physical Environment: Office environment; standard duties with typical computer-based work; ability to sit for extended periods; occasional calculators and office equipment usage.
