Focus on acquisitions of self-storage assets and collaborate with Portfolio Management to maximize returns for the storage team’s investments. Underwrite, close and execute direct real estate deals in the self-storage sector across North America. Assist in the investment process including screening, pricing negotiations, managing legal documents, due diligence, and presenting to the investment committee. Draft investment committee memorandums, investment recommendations and investor presentations; perform supporting financial analyses and valuations. Participate in meetings with investment bankers, brokers, owners, operators, JV partners, etc., to optimize deal flow and drive performance. Track capital market and real estate trends in the sector, including sale comps, supply/demand dynamics, and portfolio exposure to keep the team informed of sector themes. Perform data analytics and scenario analyses to support operational and strategic decisions to improve investment performance. Monitor and update the status of business objectives for each property/portfolio as needed. Collaborate with the portfolio management team throughout the investment process to facilitate a smooth post-closing transition and assist in business plan execution as needed. Work closely with junior and senior team members, Brookfield affiliates and investors. Candidate Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate or related field. 5-7 years of experience in investment banking, investment sales, real estate investing and/or private equity. Exceptional analytical, financial modeling and valuation skills. Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly. Strong teamwork orientation and willingness to take on dynamic roles and new responsibilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-directed and able to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, diligent, and able to thrive in a high-energy, fast-moving environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Leadership capabilities and a business-building mindset. Strong ethics and integrity. Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $220,000 - $250,000. Our compensation structure includes base salary and a short-term incentive program. Cash compensation varies by geography and market conditions and is designed to be market competitive. Compensation decisions consider experience, education and designations. Equal Opportunity
