Job Overview Consistent with the University’s mission, the Coordinator for Student‑Athlete Services strengthens the academic support network by providing academic coaching to empower student‑athletes to become student‑centered learners and to enhance their academic performance.

The Coordinator serves as the campus‑wide liaison to establish goals, develop policies, and participate in institutional planning surrounding student‑athlete education and welfare. Working closely with senior administrators across schools, program directors, and student service departments, the Coordinator assists with creating, revising, recommending, and implementing university policies.

The Coordinator is accountable for advising 700 Division I student‑athletes, balancing academic and athletic priorities in a highly competitive environment.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, deliver, and evaluate academic programs for 27 athletic teams.

Collaborate with senior administrators in Athletics, the President’s and Provost’s Office, and student services to support student‑athlete welfare.

Represent the university to students, parents, alumni, and other constituencies.

Assist student‑athletes with external support services when university services are inadequate.

Support work outside normal business hours and travel as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

Master’s degree required.

Minimum three years of professional experience in academic advising or related counseling in higher education.

Experience working with culturally and academically diverse student populations.

Comprehensive knowledge of university academic rules and NCAA compliance, including Big East and Patriot League regulations.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and solve problems.

Prescribed ethical practices.

Proficient computer skills.

Appreciation of Jesuit culture and values.

Work Mode On‑Campus (subject to review).

Pay Range $47,586.00 – $87,558.13 per year.
