Regional Sales Manager – Western Region, EMD

Collaborate with Innovative 3Mers Around the World The role is designed for experienced sales leaders looking to transition from private, public, government, or military backgrounds to a 3M career. As Western Regional Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with innovative people worldwide, making a tangible impact by achieving sales goals, driving business growth, and building strong relationships with key accounts.

Responsibilities

Achieve or exceed sales operating plans and own the sales pipeline to uncover growth opportunities.

Manage a $175M+ territory.

Lead a 3M sales team, creating business growth plans for all 3M portfolios sold into the area.

Provide supervision of 3M employees, including objective setting, performance management, motivation, and coaching.

Approve assigned programs and budgets, managing resources to meet business objectives.

Develop and strengthen 3M relationships at all levels of key accounts.

Provide regular updates on sales progress and market status to the National Sales Manager.

Create solutions for complex sales opportunities that require creativity, innovation, and strong analytical skills.

Share the company vision and demonstrate 3M values.

Qualifications At a minimum:

Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).

Five (5) years of experience in Marketing, Sales Management, or Field Sales in a private, public, government or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, and/or Sales field.

MBA.

Strong analytical skill sets.

Experience managing people.

Strong team‑building and cross‑functional skills.

Excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and overall business acumen.

Experience calling on key accounts.

Demonstrated effective negotiation skills and strategic planning.

Work Location & Travel

Remote.

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic/international.

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H1B status).

Compensation The expected compensation range is $188,251 – $230,084, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay for eligible candidates. Benefit details such as Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, and other employee benefits are available at 3M’s benefit portal.
