NTT Lecturer – Design and Production with a Sound emphasis – Central Washington University
Central Washington University seeks a NTT Lecturer in Design and Production with a Sound emphasis. Responsibilities include supervising sound/light lab, teaching sound design and technology courses, leading design and production courses, and mentoring student designers. Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree (by September 2013) in sound design and/or related field. Preferred Qualifications: MFA in Sound Design; Training and/or documented professional experience in media design/technology, lighting, and/or scenic design; Experience in live sound mixing in musical performance; Documented experience with QLab, Vectorworks, Adobe Creative Suite; Documented experience teaching sound technology courses at the undergraduate level; Experience working with diverse populations; Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and meet deadlines; Documented excellence in undergraduate teaching, mentoring and creative scholarship; Interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a wide variety of people. This position involves annual contracts governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
