Senior Accountant
Jennifer Fukumae with Robert Half's Finance and Accounting is partnering with a privately held real estate investment firm headquartered in San Francisco to hire a Senior Accountant. The firm manages $700M–1B in assets across three active funds. Capital is sourced from institutional investors, family offices, and ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals. With a broad investment mandate spanning opportunistic, value‑add, debt, and long‑term real estate assets, the team is known for tackling complex transactions with speed, creativity, and certainty of execution.
Responsibilities
Review monthly property operating reports, budgets, and cash flows.
Partner with the fund administrator on quarterly investor reporting, allocations, and waterfall calculations.
Prepare and analyze fund‑ and property‑level performance returns.
Support financial modeling and projections.
Assist with quarterly valuations and SEC compliance filings.
Coordinate year‑end audits and tax returns with auditors and tax advisors.
Oversee capital calls, distributions, and co‑investment activity.
Interface with operating partners, investors, and service providers to meet reporting and diligence requests.
Qualifications
3+ years of accounting/finance experience in real estate investment, private equity, or fund management.
Knowledge of fund structures, capital allocations, and investor reporting.
CPA or MBA (completed or in progress) preferred.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, hands‑on mindset.
