RGL Logistics is looking for a detail oriented and collaborative Accountant to join our team! The Accountant position involves a wide range of essential responsibilities, including the careful review and approval of carrier invoices for payment, close coordination with internal leadership to ensure timely processing of accounts payable, accurate payroll administration, and active participation in general accounting functions such as month-end close.
Essential Functions
Reviewing carrier invoices and approving for payment as needed
Coordinate with internal leaders to process A/P invoices
Process payroll
General accounting, month end close responsibilities
Follows all safety rules and guidelines as it pertains to position
Performs other duties as assigned, such as invoicing customers, collecting past due balances and back up coverage to others in the department as needed
Completes daily billing and keeps track of A/R reports
Qualifications
2-year associate degree required, 4-year accounting degree or equivalent work experience preferred
1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
Proven organization skills
Demonstrated effective communication skills, written and verbal
Must be flexible & adaptable to changing business needs
Technology savvy; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
