About Generation W
Generation W is a nonprofit service organization focused on educating, inspiring, and connecting women and girls. Through programs like Generation W, Generation WOW, Generation WORKS, and WOWsdom!, we are dedicated to building community, fostering inclusion, and elevating the human spirit by inspiring action, connection, and collaboration. Position Overview
We’re seeking a creative and organized
Social Media & Marketing Coordinator
to help bring our brand to life across digital platforms and events. This role blends creativity with execution: from designing Canva templates and producing TikToks to writing compelling copy and supporting marketing campaigns. You’ll tell our story through engaging content that connects, inspires, and drives results — while also assisting with email marketing, analytics, and community outreach. This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and is excited about using storytelling to amplify our mission. Key Responsibilities
Support the Senior Marketing & Communications Manager in developing and executing content strategies across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube. Create and schedule content, including short‑form videos, Reels, TikToks, graphics, and stories that reflect our brand and mission. Use Canva to design and maintain branded templates, event collateral, and campaign materials. Write clear, authentic copy and captions for social media, emails, and digital campaigns. Assist in the coordination and promotion of in‑person and virtual events — capturing behind‑the‑scenes content, engaging with attendees, and posting in real‑time. Track projects and deliverables using Asana Project Management Platform. Coordinate and execute email marketing campaigns, including list management, scheduling, and segmentation. Monitor social media channels for trends, engagement, and opportunities for deeper community connection. Analyze performance metrics and support monthly reporting across digital and social campaigns. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align messaging and visuals with organizational goals. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. 1–3 years of experience in social media, marketing, or communications (internships count). Strong Canva skills (required). Skilled in TikTok and Instagram Reels creation with knowledge of current trends. Excellent writing, storytelling, and copy‑editing skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Confident in event settings, with a proactive “get‑it‑done” mindset. Familiarity with analytics tools (Meta Insights, TikTok Analytics) and scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, Hootsuite) a plus. Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail. Must be a self‑starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Bonus Skills
Basic video editing (CapCut, InShot, or similar). Photography or videography experience. Experience with paid social campaigns. Comfort updating websites or using CMS platforms. What We Value
At Generation W, we believe in positivity, valuing every voice, and the power of connection. We thrive through collaboration, creativity, and inclusion. The right candidate will share our commitment to fostering a culture of kindness, teamwork, and community impact. Values
