Purpose of Position The primary responsibility of the Courseware Content Specialist is to facilitate the development, sustainment, and improvement of courseware materials within assigned focus areas. Ensures alignment with FlightSafety curriculums, product catalog, standardized templates, and regulatory authorities. Serves as a technical expert for development of courseware and associated training products ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timelines. Other duties in support of instructor training for new and/or revised content may be assigned as needed.

Tasks And Responsibilities

Develop and implement new courseware and maintain existing courseware to ensure end‑user ability to meet learning objectives.

Author scripts for short videos and e‑learning courses on various aviation safety topics.

Interpret aviation data and apply it to content development.

Construct courseware in compliance with FAA/EASA and other National Aviation Authority regulatory guidelines, including FSB/OSD training levels and special emphasis requirements.

Support regulatory/operational evaluations including OEM reviews and dry runs.

Provide support for new program stand‑up, training needs analysis, and documentation.

Accomplish course observations as needed to stay familiar with delivery impact and methodology.

Support resolution of courseware errata within designated timelines based on errata classification.

Evaluate products/devices and obtain feedback after end‑user testing, as assigned.

Proficiency with reading OEM engineering documents and publications and recommend updates based on technical accuracy.

Drive courseware best practices using FlightSafety standards for development cycles.

Seek accurate, complete, and up-to-date information independently.

Work with OEMs as needed.

Occasional travel may be required for the position.

Minimum Education Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Minimum Experience

Minimum of 5+ years in the specialty area, 3+ years as an instructor (preferred).

Experience as a pilot in business aviation or air carrier preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Knowledgeable about business and commercial aviation safety.

Report, on a timely basis, any safety hazards observed in the work area, equipment, and/or building to appropriate person(s) for correction.

Work with the courseware development teams to provide input and technical expertise as required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
